Frigiliana
Frigiliana is a charming town in Axarquía listed as one of prettiest villages in Spain. Its location gives great views of the Mediterranean sea from its whitewashed streets. It has lots of narrow cobbled streets, stepped streets, plants and pretty views These cobbled streets are decorated with bold blue doors, great door knockers, plant pots and ceramics. You will notice the wall plaques recounting the history of Frigiliana as you walk through the old town.
If you are feeling energetic head up past the Upper quarter to the old Lizar castle ruins. The castle that perched high above the town of Frigiliana was destroyed by Christian troops in 1569 but is a wonderful viewpoint over the Moorish Village and the Mountain Range of the Sierra de Almijarra
Many fabulous hiking routes begin here such as to Acebuchal "The Lost Village" and El Fuerte.
There are lots of secluded coves and beaches to choose from close by. You are spoilt for choice in this part of Malaga. Order one of our Millers picnics and discover them for yourself.

Nerja
Nerja, on the eastern Costa del Sol, is a seaside resort of sandy coves sheltered by the impressive Sierra de Almijara mountains and often referred to as ‘The Jewel of the Costa del Sol’. A temperate climate means that Nerja is a great place to visit at any time of year. There are plenty of things to do and see in and around Nerja. The beaches are varied and many with crystal clear water, ideal for bathing throughout the summer and even in the winter with Temperatures of around 20°C in November. Nerja is just
10 minutes in car from Frigiliana and local buses run all day long.
Acebuchal
El Acebuchal is a small village nestled in a west-facing valley within the municipality of Cómpeta (13 km) and just 5 km from Frigiliana. El Acebuchal is in the heart of the Sierra Tejeda, Almijara and Alhama natural park . Once a Military base for Franco it is now a wonderfully restored mountain village with a fantastic restaurant in the heart of the national walk surrounded by wonderful walks.
Granada and the Alhambra
Granada is the capital city of the province of Granada, in the autonomous community of Andalusia, Spain. Granada is located at the foot of the Sierra Nevada mountains, at the confluence of four rivers, the Darro, the Genil, the Monachil and the Beiro.
The Alhambra, an ancient Nasrid citadel and palace, is located in Granada. It is the most renowned building of the Islamic historical legacy with its many cultural attractions and architectural elements that make Granada a popular destination among the tourist cities of Spain. The Almohad influence on architecture is also preserved in the Granada neighborhood called the Albaicín with its fine examples of Moorish and Morisco construction.

La Herradura
La Herradura is a seaside resort on Spain's Costa Tropical, part of the borough of Almuñécar, in the province of Granada, Andalucía. It is on Granada's south-western coast, 70 kilometres east of Málaga.
Herradura also has a wonderful marina with a perfect small beach and wonderful restaurants
Sierra Nevada
Sierra Nevada; meaning "mountain range covered in snow" is a mountain range in the region of Andalucia, in the province of Granada and, a little further, Málaga and Almería in Spain. It contains the highest point of continental Spain: Mulhacén, at 3,479 metres above sea level.
It is a popular tourist destination, as its high peaks make skiing possible in one of Europe's most southerly ski resorts, in an area along the Mediterranean Sea predominantly known for its warm temperatures and abundant sunshine. The ski resort is just 1.5 hours from Frigiliana so you can sunbathe in the morning and ski in the afternoon!
Malaga
Málaga is a municipality of Spain, capital of the Province of Málaga, in the autonomous community of Andalusia. With a population of 578,460 in 2020, it is the second-most populous city in Andalusia after Seville and the sixth most populous in Spain.
Málaga's history spans about 2,800 years, making it one of the oldest cities in Europe and one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world.
Just 45 minutes from Frigiliana you can either drive or take a bus to the heart of the city for a day trip or longer.

Nerja’s beaches are well known for their crystal clear water.
